DreamHack will include Vertigo in the map pool for the upcoming Open event in Rio de Janeiro, the event's organisers have announced.
The Swedish company becomes the first tournament organiser to publicly embrace the map, which made the Active Duty pool on Thursday evening in Valve's latest CS:GO update, replacing Cache.
The addition of Vertigo has been met with disapproval from the community, with many top players voicing their belief that the map is still far from being ready to be played competitively.

Before DreamHack Open Rio starts, however, there will be plenty of time for Valve to fine-tune the map. The Brazilian event will kick off on April 19 and will feature eight teams, who will square off for the lion's share of a $100,000 prize pool.
