The organisers of the Nordic eSports Academy (NeSA) have announced that they will be hosting a 16-team tournament with a €10,000 ($11,200) prize pool.
Taking place from July 7-9, the tournament will feature eight invited teams, who will go up against eight squads selected by the NeSA for the first prize of €6,000 ($6,750).
The three-day event will be held at the Break Sokos Hotel in Vuokatti, a Finnish village known for its ski resort. The tournament organisers chose this location as they prioritise the creation of a professional environment to nurture young talent over hosting a large event with live audience.
Prior to the tournament, a four-week bootcamp for 100 players will be taking place. From this bootcamp, eight teams will be chosen to play in the main competition against big names like iGame.com, HAVU and Rogue Academy.
During the bootcamp, players will have the chance to take their game to the next level through a series of workhops and lectures with renowned esports personalities, including Joona "natu" Leppänen, Ville "CISU" Leppälä and sports psychologists Mia Stellberg and Weldon Green.
Below you can find the first eight teams invited to the tournament:
iGame.com
Rogue Academy
ENCE
Dead Pixels
